Music performed ranges from classical to traditional religious selections, as well as jazz sacred selections, and features 3 octaves of Schulmerich handbells and handchimes. Some of the ringers have advanced degrees in music and are former and present handbell directors of various groups on the island of Oahu, while others don’t have music degrees yet are skillful ringers who simply enjoy music making together in this unique ensemble.
Subsequent spring 2014 HHE Concerts will be held on Sat. May 25 at 4:00pm at Lutheran Church of Honolulu; and Sun. May 26 at 4:00pm, Community Church of Honolulu, Nu’uanu Ave. These concerts feature handbells, handchimes, violin, flute, piano, and voice; Hawaii Symphony Orchestra violinist Daryl Stark and his talented musical family will be the featured guest artists.
